OstadElahi inPractice just released some new features aimed at enriching its users’ experience, in particular with regard to the “One day, one Maxim – 28 days straight” lab.

Shared exercises

As promised when the lab was launched, a few of the numerous exercises shared by users over the past few months now appear below each maxim, providing a useful resource to all those looking for inspiration when defining their personal exercise. It is of course still possible to contribute to this database of exercises by sharing our own exercise.

Practising a maxim for longer than one day

Whether we have found the application of a maxim particularly easy or whether we have faced multiple difficulties, practising a maxim for only one day can sometimes leave us wanting more. Thanks to a second new feature that was requested by many users, it is now possible to deepen our practice by keeping the same maxim for one or several additional days.

Design and ergonomics

The site’s design has also evolved to offer users a more free-flowing experience. Coloured marbles reflecting our successes, failures or missed days already appeared on the summary page available upon completion of the lab; they are now centrally positioned underneath the date on your personal page. The last three days of practice are represented and can be accessed with only one click. The marble representing the current day stays orange, like the OstadElahi inPractice logo.

Thanks very much, this helps me a lot to have a detailed practice for the day. Today I looked at the shared exercises and really enjoyed the suggestions and choose one for the rest of my day.

The new futures gave me another reason to challenge myself one more time with this great exercise and benefit from it.
    Thanks for all the effort.

thank you for the very useful changes – really appreciated indeed. Having access to exercises other people shared will be extremely useful (and will also encourage me to share my own exercises from now on)

The only last change I am looking forward to (hoping it will be possible) is to have a phone app which will make it much easier to record my practice before midnight when I am travelling and come back late at home (which happens every other day)

@A. I think since effective spiritual education requires personal in vivo practice, it would be more useful to learn about and from the experiences of others in the same situations rather than having access to exercises other people have selected.

Thank you very much for building this new feature.

Previously, I had hard time defining exercise for some of the maxims. However, now, I have very good suggestions from other users that increase my motivation.
