Amazing! The feeling Ostad’s music invokes in me, can’t be put into words!
“Ostad Elahi belongs in the company of those rare figures who undertake the sublimation of a musical traditional by drawing upon what can be called a “science of the soul.” He dedicated his life to these two domains , and one can say he thought of music as way to access super sensible dimension or conversely as a mode of expression, cognitive as well as affective , of another plan of reality.
There are many witnesses , some of them the most demanding musicians , who have remarked upon the exceptional character of his music, the quality of its impact and its power to pull listeners out of their familiar dimension.” (Jean During, The Spirit of Sounds – The Unique Art of Ostad Elahi, p. 14.)
I always wanted to hear an extended version of Baba Navusi that I heard in Mystical Orison CD. It was only one minute or so but it blows you away. Now there it was in Reverence section of this CD, listen and you’ll know why. Five minutes of majestic mystical experience! The CD-Book is a piece of art in and of itself. Beautiful work… Beautiful illustrations…
